Patrick Roanhouse: Executive Producer / Host

My name is Patrick Roanhouse. I am a twenty-six year old technologist and budding online media entrepreneur. Originally from Severna Park, Maryland; I currently reside in the Baltimore neighborhood of Charles Village. I have been a computer geek since I was two years old, learning to to first program on a Commodore 64. I learned how to surf the internet back in the days of Gopher and Electronic BBS systems. I have been a total UNIX / Linux geek since he got his first Intel computer at the age of twelve.

I am the host of “The Plan8 Podcast”. covering such events as Macworld Expo, the first Teens in Tech Conference, NYC ComicCon, the E3: Electronic Entertainment Expo, and SXSW. I have had the pleasure of interviewing people who have greatly impacted the worlds of technology, science, and geek culture.

In my past time, besides gaming, I help co-found the nonprofit electronics community workshop / hackerspace, Baltimore Node. I am an active member of the Washington DC hackerspace HacDC. I have also helped organize and volunteer at several TED Talks including the first TEDxMidAtlantic and TEDxOilSpill. And as one always for a challenge I am developing a nontraditional journalism conference called “Journovate“.
